His Brother's Guardian

To be honest, I didn't know what to call this.

This is when Ed's gone and stuck in our world and Al's memory is wiped and has no recollection of him and his brother's journey. (can you tell I just re-watched the final episode of FMA today?)

Since then, Emma has been a bit of a guardian to Al, who is still physically ten years old, and put him under her wing- er poncho..
Emma's done some growing up, since she's following a ten year old around and making sure he's safe and healthy. Not to mention losing Ed kind of took the winds out of her sail.

In this picture I guess there on a train (I'm trying to get better at drawing background I promise, I just find them irritating and time consuming!) Al's going on talking about... something, probably alchemy stuff that's going over Emma's head and it just made her think of his brother.

p.s. the watch falling out of Emma's pocket is Ed's. He gave it to her before the transmutation.
